We understand the growing concern around the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The health of our members, volunteers, and community members is of utmost importance to us.
This week, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit confirmed the region’s first case of COVID-19, however, it has been reported that the risk to those in our region remains low. We also learned of the decision by the Ministry of Education to close all public schools in Ontario for two additional weeks following March break.
In this moment it means being a part of the general response to Covid-19. This means temporarily closing our academies, so as to play our role in stopping a huge spike of cases, so that our health care workers can be the heroes that they already are, and be able tend to those in need
